The Video Haiku Series was created by the artists Anya Gleizer and Pablo F. Valcarce as an experimentat with media. It sought to ask the question of whether the techniques used in poetry to create the haiku could be translated into the medium of film. A haiku is a single moment distilled into writing of fantastic brevity. It remains firmly rooted in nature, connected with place and time of year. The artists created a series of video-haiku, one per season.
